Effective November 2026

IAF is a public-facing initiative of A Common America. We collect a small amount of information when you ask to hear from us or contact us. We want the way we handle that information to be as straightforward as the rest of this site.

What we collect

For email updates, we collect your email address, any optional first name and state you provide, your confirmation that you are a U.S. citizen at least 18 years old and eligible to vote, the time you consented, and the text of the consent you accepted. If you use our contact form, we collect the contact information and message you choose to submit. Our hosting and security services may process technical information needed to deliver the site and prevent abuse.

Why we use it

We use subscriber details to maintain the IAF update list, communicate about the initiative, honor unsubscribe requests, and keep an administrative record of consent. We use contact submissions to review and respond to messages. We do not sell the list or use signup information to represent someone as supporting a candidate.

Who helps us operate the site

We use technology providers for hosting, subscriber storage, abuse prevention, and administrative notifications. Access is limited to people and services involved in those functions. Administrative notifications about new signups are sent to a designated A Common America inbox.

Choices and removal

You can unsubscribe from future updates using the link provided in any update email. You can also use our contact form to request that your subscriber record be reviewed or removed. We will retain only what is reasonably needed for administration, legal obligations, and the record of your choices.

Security and changes

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect submitted information. No online system can promise perfect security. If our practices change, we will update this notice and its effective date.

Questions about this notice can be sent through the Contact page.
